Garron Whitesman founded Whitesmans Attorneys in South Africa in 2006 and has been ranked as a Market Leader for Gaming and Gambling in Chambers Global every year since 2008. Garron holds BA LLB and LLM degrees and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1996. Whilst based in Cape Town, South Africa, and briefed by local and foreign clients and colleagues for his advice on South African gambling laws, Garron has for the past 20 years also extensively advised clients globally in the gambling industry.
He is an expert on matters of regulation and commercial law within the industry but also has substantial experience in litigating industry-related matters in foreign courts including in the European Court of Justice (the Carmen Media case). Garron represents suppliers, operators, and other industry participants across all gambling modalities. Garron has been conferred numerous recognitions and awards as a result of his work in the industry, most recently being inducted into the African Gaming Hall of Fame. Garron regularly speaks at industry related events. He also serves as a non-executive director of a number of licensed gambling and betting companies.
Per is a Senior Advisor with 30 years of experience from technology companies. Formerly CEO at NetEnt, CEO & Chairman at Dustin Group and Managing Director at Dell Sweden & Nordic region as well as Director of Dell|EMC EMEA.
With an impressive 30-year track record in technology companies, his extensive career includes serving as the CEO at NetEnt, where he spearheaded strategic initiatives and drove business growth through innovative solutions. Prior to that, Per held dual roles as CEO and Chairman at Dustin Group, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s direction and culture.
His leadership journey also saw him serve as the Managing Director at Dell Sweden & Nordic region, where he navigated complex markets and established Dell as a key player in the region. Additionally, Per has held the position of Director at Dell|EMC EMEA and contributed to the strategic vision and expansion efforts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
